CONCRETE POLISHING
"We Stand on Craftmanship"
Concrete polishing is a mechanical process that transforms dull, rough concrete surfaces into smooth, shiny, and durable floors. Concrete Polishing involves multiple grinding steps and chemicals to the concrete. Each step uses progressively finer diamond abrasives, densifiers and sealers to achieve a desired level of shine, from matte to high-gloss. This process not only enhances the appearance but also improves the floor's resistance to stains, wear, and dust.
Polished concrete floors are durable, long-lasting, and have a high-end, elegant look that is popular in residential, commercial, and retail settings.
Types of Concrete Polishing include Dry Polishing. The dry process is when you grind the floor without the use of water or chemicals and the dust is accumulated into a hepa filtered dust collection vacuum. The wet process is when you wet the concrete floor prior to each step of grinding. The water acts as a lubricant and will make a slurry with the concrete dust and alleviate the need for a vacuum dust collector. The chemical process is the same as the wet process, but you use a selected chemical, like a “Grind & Seal” product instead of water. This chemical will fill in the “bug holes” in the concrete surface. Each method will affect the concrete’s texture, shine and durability. Methods can be customized to suit your needs.
Concrete polishing can earn “LEED” points (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design) and requires less maintenance than other flooring options which makes Polished concrete a cheaper, more durable floor finish option.
